I have always been interesting in drawing and art. In high school I was given a tremendous opportunity to explore this interest further, when I was accepted into the “Gifted and Talented” art program. Over the three years that I was in this program I was able to develop my skills in fine art and a portfolio that would help me make the transition to college. I was also exposed to graphic design software for the first time, and a whole world of possibilities opened up to me. As a Graphic Design major (minoring in Interactive Multimedia) at The College of New Jersey I was able to build upon this foundation, further develop my skills, and develop my own design style. My design projects in school, as well as those associated with my internships, provided the framework for a diverse portfolio of work that explores branding a & logo design, varied typography, multiple mediums, and application of graphic design to solve real-world problems. My design style continues to evolve and utilizes angle and color in a creative and unique way. Personally, my interests have always included sports and athletics. I think this aspect of my personality does find its way into my design work. I enjoy pushing the boundaries as I develop creative design solutions. That is what makes a Kyle Holmes Design.
